The Municipal Museum provides deep insights into the cathedral city's eventful history and for nature lovers, the Heineanum Ornithological Museum is certainly an experience. The Schraube Museum presents bourgeois living culture around 1900 and the Berend Lehmann Museum preserves the memory of the centuries-old tradition of the former Jewish community of Halberstadt.
Lovers of drama, ballet, opera and symphony concerts will get their money's worth at the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater. A musical specialty is probably the most unusual art project in organ history: since the turn of the millennium, the sounds of the John Cage organ art project "ORGAN²/ASLSP" have been resounding in the Buchardi Church, which is to be played for a total of 639 years.
