    The Ohligser Heide is, as the name suggests, a very beautiful moor and heathland area in which rare plant and animal species can be found. Information boards in the nature reserve provide information about this.
    There are many flat hiking trails through the Ohligser Heide, some of which are also suitable for cycling. The Engelsberger Hof park is a large playground for children. In summer you can also visit the Heide outdoor swimming pool (Heidebad).

      The Neanderthal, world-famous by its first inhabitants, is named after the pastor and church composer Joachim Neander, who lived here in the 17th century.
