Off The Beaten Path
Sometimes it just has to be the grand adventure. Far away. Requiring long-term organization. Packing lists, permits, hours and hours of route planning. And still: Uncertainty. But that’s exactly what it is about. Because finding it in a highly civilized world is not exactly easy. Hot tip from our side: The less information, articles or google ratings you can find on the internet, the closer you are to finding your destination. Which doesn’t mean you need to plunge in at the deep end. We asked our very favorite adventurers to share their journey with us. The results are a couple of very special collections, part experience, part route to go. With these, you have half of the planning covered already.

Where Shall I Start?
If it were easy, everyone would do it. So don’t panic – not having an idea straight away doesn’t mean you weren’t meant to do it. Nobody is being born as an adventurer. Over time, research and experience will help you build a library of knowledge.
So. Listen to your inner voice. When you close your eyes, which images are deep inside your head, yearning to become reality? Try to put them into words. Write them down. And then start the research. Internet, books, friends. Once you have a goal, the ball is rolling and each step of planning is coming up automatically. As long as you do not get distracted and really want it.
Equipment Basics
No matter where your journey will take you, these are some basic supplies you should always have with you:
- Rain jacket
- Pocketknife
- Spork
- Headlamp
- First aid kit (incl. medicine & tweezers)
- Some duct tape
- Pen & Paper
- komoot app (of course!)
