The Jausenstation Grünalmauf 1800m, located directly on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße, is one of my top 3 huts in Tyrol. A rustic wooden hut covered with wooden shingles and only electrified a few years ago. Fantastically located, with a wonderful panoramic view of the opposite Zillertal Alps, and managed by the owner family. You will be greeted with a schnapps by the warm-hearted innkeepers. Almost all dishes are made in-house or from local production, everything is delicious! Friendly hosts, delicious food and drink, a fantastic location and everything at extremely fair prices, what more could you ask for!?
Insider tip for those with a sweet tooth: If it's not too busy, you can ask the senior manager if she can prepare a Kaiserschmarrn for you, sensational!
2nd tip: be sure to check out the dining room! 😉🥰
