Climbing paradise in the forest

Idyllic holiday resort in the middle of a hiking and climbing paradise, surrounded by extensive forests and bizarre rock formations.

The towns of Bielatal and Rosenthal are located in the middle of a huge forest area that extends to the Czech Republic. The upper Biela Valley in particular is characterized by its very own character, which is most clearly evident between Schweizermühle and Ottomühle. Here, in the middle of the forest, the hiker's eye is presented with a huge number of rock towers in the most fantastic weathered forms.

The Sachsenstein, the Hercules Columns, the St. John's Watch and the Pulpit Tower are also unique natural monuments that only give an idea of the once raging forces of nature. Three larger caves also bear witness to this: the Bennohöhle, the Eisloch and the 19 meter deep Schwedenloch with its ice pit behind the Ottomühle.

In the Brausenstein district, a blast furnace ruin of the former hammer mill has also been preserved as a monument to a venerable workplace of the past. In Bielatal, young visitors in particular are attracted by a tour through the rugged rock labyrinth.
