The area developed from a former gravel pit that was used until the late 1970s. After the gravel mining was finished, the owner at the time decided to develop the complex into a weekend house area. The water quality of the swimming lake is regularly examined by the health department - always with the best results. The lake also has a larger lawn for sunbathing. There is a non-swimmer area directly in front of it, and there is a large car park for cars and mobile homes at the entrance to the weekend home area.
