The village has a more than 400 year old slate tradition. The bells ringed around 1350 and thus one of the oldest in Westphalia. In the sanctuary of the church (kg-raumland.de) late medieval (probably from the second half of the 15th century) wall frescoes have been exposed, which depict the Passion of Christ in 12 fields.
