    Maccagno is a small town of 2,000 inhabitants located on the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore, in the province of Varese. The history of Maccagno dates back to medieval times. The beach formed by the Giona River is unrivaled anywhere else in terms of length and width: it is a particularly outstanding place among the splendid tourist centers of Lake Maggiore. To enjoy all these splendors, thousands of tourists come to Maccagno every year; You will find accommodation in various hotels, two well-equipped campsites and various holiday apartments.
        In 1979, the Civico Museo Parisi Valle (Citizens' Museum) was founded by creating a structure bridging the Giona. This houses the collection of modern art, which was donated by its founder Giuseppe Vittorio Parisi. The regular events also include “risotto con luganega”, which you can enjoy at every carnival. The municipality has recently used a multi-purpose hall, the Parco delle Feste, for events and municipal events.
