Sa Calobra comprises two of the most impressive beaches in Majorca on the northwest coast of the island. Both are nestled between steep cliffs and separated by the Torrent de Pareis (a river gorge). It is not easy to get to Sa Calobra, but the landscape is so amazing that this beach has become one of the most popular on the island, especially in the summer months.

Hiking is highly recommended, but only in the summer months when the ground is dry. Had to partially through some water. Also suitable for children, as you have to climb a lot on jumbo rocks in the canyon itself. I would say from 10 years. Adventurous tour with many beautiful insights into nature and goats as companions. Definitely take hiking shoes and swimwear with you. In the bay of Sa Calobra you can swim well.

We then strolled leisurely towards Port de Sa Calobra and enjoyed the turquoise sea and the wonderful landscape.

Here at the port of Sa Calobra there are a few places where you can get something to eat and/or drink. There are also public toilets here (for a fee).

The ships to Port de Soller dock/depart here. Only a few meters from the Torrente de Parais - but: You have to go through a tunnel to get there - and that is/was from January 2nd. Closed until around February 28, 2024 due to renovation work. Nobody tells you that when you buy a ticket and without access you can save yourself the trip there. Very annoying - complete profiteering.

Sa Calobra has a beautiful bay, great rocks and clear blue water. The beaches are located in different gorges, which distinguishes it from the other beaches in Mallorca. There are various walking routes to reach the bay of Torrent de Pareis. You can walk along the water but also through the narrow mountain tunnels. There are also several dining options, where you can enjoy not only the food but also the sea view. This port is used for excursions by Tui. Through the mountains to the other side and from this port by boat to Porto de Soller to take a ride on the historic tram
Baar Soller and then get on the vintage train to Palma.
Worth the effort. Very nice experience!
