Those interested in culture and history can take a detour to the Roman excavation site "Wareswald", 800 meters from the hiking trail. At the intersection of two Roman military roads, a very important Roman settlement was built there in the 1st century AD, the foundation walls of which will be exposed. At the »Bauernstall« viewpoint you can take a short break to enjoy the great view of Oberthal.
