In the Ivanovo district, near the village of Kholuy, Yuzhsky district, there is an ancient monastery complex, the Borkovskaya Nikolaevskaya Pustyn. The monastery was founded on the left bank of the Teza River in 1650 by the son of Prince Dmitry Pozharsky, Ivan, in memory of his father's stop with his retinue during the liberation campaign against Moscow in 1612.
