There used to be moor here, but with the construction of a weir, the moor was gradually flooded; a retention basin was created - the small Helmuth-Schack-See. Over the years, a park developed around it, the edges of which merge smoothly into the Osdorfer Feldmark. Nice here. There is also an imaginative playground.

As a remnant of an old agricultural landscape of the Geest, the Osdorfer Feldmark is still characterized by agricultural land with valuable hedgerows and ancient pedunculate oaks. Some of these so-called overgrowths are over 200 years old. The proximity to the Feldmark practically invites you to continue your stroll through Bornpark. This local recreation area of supra-regional importance is particularly suitable for running, walking, and cycling. Long walks or horseback riding excursions are also ideal for enjoying the attractive landscape in peace and quiet and for a moment escaping the stresses of everyday life.
