The recycling program from Namche to Lukla is called "Carry Me Back."

It is an initiative by the Sagarmatha Next Center (Namche) and the Blue Waste to Value project. The program encourages trekkers, porters, and locals to carry small amounts of waste from higher-altitude areas like Namche Bazaar down to Lukla, where it can be properly recycled. Since transporting waste out of the Everest region is challenging, this program helps manage waste sustainably while involving the trekking community in conservation efforts.
