The Heyweiler Bauernmühle functioned as the town's grain mill from 1893 to 1945.
After the business ceased, the building fell into disrepair and was sold in the early 1950s.
As the building fell into disrepair, renovation was no longer possible, so the formerly single-storey mill was now rebuilt on two storeys on the old foundations in 1971 using the old wooden beams.
