"The author of the project was probably Stanisław Kostka Potocki himself, collaborating with the architect Christian Piotr Aigner. The beautiful palace served the Potocki and Branicki families for almost a century and a half, and during the occupation, German dignitaries, only to be destroyed in 1945."

The Morysin area, located on the north-eastern side of Lake Wilanowskie, was previously called Lasek na Kępie (Lasek na Kępie). At the beginning of the 19th century, it was renamed Morysin after Maurycy, the youngest grandson of the Stanisław Potocki family, owners of Wilanów since 1799. The romantic English-style park was formed at the behest of Aleksandra Potocka in the first quarter of the century on the site of a former floodplain forest.

In 1811, a miniature palace was built here, situated on a large clearing, consisting of a two-story rotunda and a rectangular, one-story annex. The probable authors of the project were: Aleksandra's husband, Stanisław Kostka Potocki and architect Chrystian Piotr Aigner. Around 1825, a team of stonemasons working for the Potocki family in nearby Natolin and Gucin, erected the so-called oraculum and a commemorative stone in the park. In later years, the area was enriched with further buildings. On the initiative of August Potocki, in 1846 an impressive, pseudo-medieval gate was built, housing the caretaker's apartment. Situated on the extension of the eastern axis of the palace and garden complex in Wilanów, it was designed by Henryk Marconi and decorated with ceramic architectural decoration by the architect's brother, Ferrante Marconi. Marconi also designed the now non-existent Neo-Gothic Caretaker's Cottage, about which little is known today. In the early 1950s, the so-called Caretaker's Cottage was built in the southern part of the park, designed by Franciszek Maria Lanci. Generally, the southern part of the complex was of a more utilitarian nature and it was here that a vegetable garden and orchard were established, complemented by a wooden Gamekeeper's cottage, also designed by Lanci.

In the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw, you can find few mentions of other buildings and small architectural objects. Based on them, it is known that Morysin had additional wooden buildings as well as symbolic sculptures and stones placed throughout the park.
