Korczew - a village in the south of Podlasie, on the border of the Siedlce Upland and the Podlasie Bug River Gorge. Picturesquely situated on a terrace above the Bug River floodplain, 18 km northwest of Łosice.

The settlement was already known in 1401, when the Masovian Duke Jan I granted Korczew to Preythor of the "Prus" coat of arms, heir of Brzezie. After these areas were taken over by the Duchy of Lithuania, Grand Duke Vytautas confirmed the granting of the Korczew and Szczeglacin estates to the Praetor of the Świeńczyc coat of arms (the granting act was written in Trakai in 1416). The next heirs were: the Korczewscy (from 1416 to the beginning of the 16th century), the Chlebowiczs (in the 16th century), and then the Wiesiołowscy, (including Krzysztof Wiesiołowski, the Grand Marshal of Lithuania and his wife Aleksandra née Sobieska), after whom the Chaleccys inherited. Later, for a short time, the Korczew estate was owned by Stanisław Lewicki, the Podlasie Steward. Then, for many years, the Kuczyńskis took over the estate. an important element of the village are the Palace buildings
The palace was built in the 2nd quarter of the 19th century according to the design of Franciszek Jaszczołd for the Kuczyński family, on the site of the previous manor house built in 1734 for Wiktor Kuczyński. The galleries connecting the palace with the outbuildings were added in the 2nd half of the 19th century. During World War I, the palace was destroyed.
The plan for its reconstruction, at the request of Countess Wanda Ostrowska, was designed by Prof. Stanisław Noakowski together with the draftsman Marian Walentynowicz. The palace gained its current appearance in 1939. During World War II, the palace was destroyed again, but the greatest losses were caused by the post-war years.

In the Park next to the Palace there is the Former Orangery from 1840 (designed by F. Jaszczołd), transformed into a chapel in the 1920s and later rebuilt.
