From September 15, 2024, stamp station 5 of the hiking treasures of the Wild Homeland will be located on the information board about the Habichtstal.

In the Habichtstal, you can experience the silence of the vast beech forest. A little way away from civilization, animals find a protected habitat here, such as the hawks - the namesake of the valley. The name "Habichtstal" can be found on historical maps as early as 1783. Hawks are widespread in Europe. They live mainly in forests, open cultural landscapes or parks if there are enough small mammals or birds there. The calls of the hawk are very rarely heard outside of the mating season from January to March and away from its nest. But maybe you'll be lucky if you listen into the silence of the valley.

Tip along the way: The Polle castle ruins are located directly in Polle on a hill. A visit is definitely worth it just for the view over the Weser.
