The Sonnino al Coldai refuge, belonging to the CAI section of Venice, is located at the northern end of the grandiose Civetta group, at the head of the steep Val de le Ziolere. Its construction dates back to 1905, with renovation works that were carried out in the early 1930s, thanks to funding provided by the family of the late mountaineer Adolfo Sonino.

The climb, rather simple and equally popular, offers splendid views of the Val Zoldana and a privileged observation point of Monte Pelmo, but also of the equally imposing silhouettes of Cristallo and Antelao or the jagged profile of Croda da Lago.

A visit to the nearby Coldai lake cannot be missed.

A welcoming cosy refuge at the bottom of the northern side of Monte Civetta at an altitude of 2132 m.
Perfect starting point for climbing to the 3220 m summit on one of the via ferrata or rock climbing routes.
