The tower remains in the city park of Leuven are a remnant of the first Romanesque city wall of the city. The wall was 2750 meters long and had 31 towers. When the Sint-Donatuspark (or city park) was constructed in the nineteenth century, this part of the ring wall was preserved as a romantic element. The tower was recently restored, which means that another part of the wall was restored to its original state.
