At this location you are catapulted back in time to the fishing life of the 19th century.

Historical interpretation:
In all its modesty, this fisherman's house, which dates from the second half of the 19th century, is a unique witness to life on the coast in the period before tourism.
Sheltered by the dunes, with windows and doors towards the hinterland, the coastal residents of the time built their homes in such a way that they received maximum natural shelter from wind and weather. This is in stark contrast to the construction method of the first tourists who excavated dunes and built their villas with the facade towards the sea because of the beautiful view. Fishermen's houses, but also gardeners' posts, are usually small but excel in optimal use of the scarce space. In addition to the living area, a stable is also provided in this case. Holes have been saved in the right side wall for a dovecote. There is a separate toilet building and a well. This type of home used to be very common. However, due to the increasing tourism and the disappearance of small horticultural businesses, there are not many left.
