The area of the Babice Radio Station hides many remains of the Transatlantic Radiotelegraphy Broadcasting Center in Babice, opened on November 17, 1923. It was then that the President of the Second Polish Republic, Stanisław Wojciechowski, sent a telegram to the President of the United States, John Calvin Coolidge.

The construction of the station was one of the largest technical undertakings of the interwar period in Poland. The entire station infrastructure, consisting of 10 towers with a height of 126.5 m and buildings with transmitting equipment, stretched over a strip 4 km long and 0.5-1.2 km wide.

A week after the march of Nazi troops, on September 8, 1939, the station's broadcasting was suspended, and on September 16, its area was occupied by soldiers of the 3rd Battalion of the 26th Infantry Regiment and the 5th Battery of the 54th Infantry Regiment. Polish troops defended here until September 27, when the radio station was occupied by the Germans. Soon, the occupiers set up a communication point with Kriegsmarine submarines in the station. Before they were finally driven out of the Warsaw area, the Germans blew up the masts on January 16, 1945.

Some of the foundations of the masts, guard booths with the inscription "Czuwaj" and a strip of reinforced concrete anti-tank barriers (so-called hedgehogs) have been preserved to this day. The concierge building still stands in nearby Grodzisk. It is worth noting that the twin transmitting station - Radio Station Varberg - is located in Grimeton, Sweden, and in 2004 it was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
