In the year 1799 the filling in sour water bottles was mentioned for the first time. The mineral water was now being shipped as healing water/table water and Schlossbergriesling. Between 1929 and 1945, Hohenberger Sprudel was sold far beyond the national borders. From 1945, the mineral water sales were leased to different companies until finally in 1975 the operation was completely stopped due to a lack of profitability.
