The parish church of Gaiarine, dedicated to Saint Thomas of Canterbury, was consecrated for the first time in 1443, a second time, following the reconstruction, in 1559.
After restorations in the 19th century, in the first half of the 20th century the church was drastically renovated, upsetting its 16th century forms.

The church of San Tommaso di Canterbury is the parish church of Gaiarine, in the province of Treviso. The first known church of Gaiarine was probably built in the 15th century and was consecrated, or perhaps reconsecrated, on 30 October 1559. The parish also seems to have been built between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century . Between 1900 and 1905 the bell tower was built and, in 1927, the church was rebuilt in neo-Gothic style designed by Domenico Rupolo
Inside there is a Madonna and Child assumed into heaven with angels, with the saints Thomas of Canterbury and Zaccaria attributed to Carletto Caliari, son of the better-known Paolo Veronese
