The Aegidienkirche in Erfurt forms the east entrance to the Krämerbrücke at the Wenigemarkt with its archway. It is one of the former two bridgehead churches. At the western end stood since the 11th century, the Benedictine Church, which was demolished in 1890 and today only reminiscent of the name of Benediktsplatz (Wikipedia).
