The Schleifmühlklamm is not as majestic as the Partnachklamm, for example, but there is no entrance fee and it is much less crowded. Here you can explore the gorge all year round on paths and wooden walkways and listen to the babbling of the stream.

The hike starts at Pürschlingparkplatz in Unterammergau. From there, walk along the Schleifmühlenlaine through the Schleifmühlklamm. Passing the former grinding mills the path runs over several steps and walkways to the waterfalls worth seeing. On the route are some signs with information on whetstone making appropriate. A highlight is next to the numerous waterfalls the restored Wetzsteinmühle at the beginning of the gorge.
