Anyone cycling the Spree Cycle Path in Cottbus will experience a rare, harmonious mix of urban proximity and nature. The route largely follows the river and runs on well-maintained, paved paths – sometimes paved, sometimes fine gravel. The route leads through green riverbanks, past parkland such as Blechenpark or Branitzer Park (possible with a short detour), and is shaded almost throughout. A real advantage in summer.
