The Kostershuisje in Nuenen.... a historic gem in the beautiful center of Nuenen. It is perhaps the most tangible place in Nuenen that characterizes the history of our village. Once built as a weaver's house.... and, according to historians, once placed as a wooden house... at the bottom of the lime tree of Nuenen, which was so important to the village. A large loom has stood in this house.... Captured on paper by Van Gogh several times.

The Kostershuisje in Nuenen, a historic gem nestled in the beautiful center of Nuenen, is perhaps the most tangible reminder of our village's history. Originally built as a weaver's cottage, historians believe it was originally constructed as a wooden house at the foot of the Nuenen lime tree, which was of great importance to the village. This cottage once housed a large loom, which Van Gogh captured on paper several times.
Thousands of photographs have already been taken of the cottage to capture its atmosphere of yesteryear. The cottage undoubtedly also created a charming atmosphere in the triangular square near the centuries-old lime tree in Van Gogh's time.
