The Regenberghütte is located south of Zella-Mehlis, near the Westbahnhof, on the hiking trail between the Suhler Domberg and the Benshäuser Geisenhimmel.
It is one of the oldest hiking huts in the region and was built as a destination in 1924.
Located in the romantic Heidetal, the hut is surrounded by numerous wooden sculptures created by local artists.
Annually recurring highlights are Easter celebrations, Pentecost celebrations, Ascension Day, Solstice celebrations and cozy Advent evenings.
There is also entertaining hut music played by Zella-Mehlisern or by hikers.
Of course, individual celebrations of any kind are also possible upon prior notification.
The hut itself can accommodate 40 guests.
Overnight stays are possible by arrangement in your own tent.
