Lej Muragl is an idyllic mountain lake and definitely worth a hike. It can be reached from the Muottas Muragl mountain station within 1 hour 15 minutes via an easy hiking trail.

From the lake you can go back to Muottas Muragl. Another option would be via the Schafberg and the Chamana Segantini down to Alp Laguard and then, which is easy on the knees, take the chairlift to Pontresina. However, caution is advised when descending, as it is very exposed in places and is only recommended for sure-footed and experienced hikers.

The Muraglsee is a small lake above Muottas Muragl. It can be reached in about 1.5 hours from the mountain station.

You can then climb to the Segantini Hut via a narrow and steep path, which is, however, very well built and maintained. The descent to Alp Languard has been redesigned and all exposed areas are secured with ropes.
