Church of Our Lady, Menges
The Church of Our Lady was built on the site of an older chapel in 1350 as a three-aisled Gothic church. In 1479 Konrad Beck built the Mount of Olives Chapel in the right aisle. After the tower collapsed in 1625, the chancel received its rectangular shape. The formerly three-part roof was pulled through and the tower was created in its octagonal baroque form. 1632 Rescue of Menges from the Swedes through the so-called Mount of Olives miracle. Between 1740 and 1749 the church received its baroque design. The church received the modern chancel and the new gallery during the renovation of 1990-1993.
