    The Birth Tree Alley is part of the Hansjakob-Weg.
    The Hansjakob Way
    Heinrich Hansjakob (1837-1916) was one of the best-known and most popular writers in southern Germany. Heinrich Hansjakob repeatedly suffered from bouts of depression - due to a family history - which ultimately led to inpatient treatment in the Illenau sanatorium from January 6th to March 26th, 1894. He went on long hikes almost every day, which took him to his fellow professional friend, Pastor Albin Kern, in the rectory in Oberachern.
