    The town is located in southwestern Münsterland in the Lippe Valley, north of the Lippe River. The town consists of the central core village, the hamlet of Freiheit and Haus Ostendorf to the east, Eppendorf to the northeast, and Tannenberg to the far north-northeast (former Eppendorf farming community), the younger settlements of Mersch to the south and Hagelkreuz (Schabbrink) to the northwest, as well as the scattered Kusenhorst farming community to the far southwest.

    To the northeast, Lippramsdorf borders the district of Holtwick, which separates it from the core town. To the north, there is a short border with Lavesum. To the west, parts of the town of Dorsten border, namely Lembeck to the north, Wulfen, and for a short stretch, Hervest to the far southwest, with only the settlement of Wulfen coming close to Lippramsdorf. To the south, parts of the town of Marl border, namely the chemical park to the west and Sickingmühle and Herne to the east.
