    Remagen's old Rhine promenade, which is dominated by car traffic, was completely overhauled and completely redesigned from summer 2008.

    Since then, strollers have been able to stroll along the wide promenade with a beautiful view of the Siebengebirge and Erpeler Ley.

    A large part of the Rhine promenade has been closed to car traffic and therefore looks like a pedestrian zone. The central location is the "Rhein-Balkon", opposite the confluence of Ackermannsgasse.

    The new ticket sales point of the Cologne-Düsseldorfer Schifffahrtsgesellschaft can also be found on the edge of this large square with benches.

    On the Rhine promenade you will find a varied outdoor gastronomy, the offer ranges from hearty brewery cuisine to Spanish specialties to good Italian cuisine. In summer the restaurants are well attended and eating & drinking with the Rhine and a view always feels a bit like a vacation!

      Tip: If you want, you can take the passenger ferry to the other bank to Erpel. Note ferry times. Unfortunately I arrived 1 hour late. The last ferry left at 6 p.m. Next crossing option is opposite Linz (approx. 1 hour on foot)
