This layer of paper sludge is eight to thirty meters thick, has a hard top layer, but the underlying sludge has only limited carrying capacity.
• In the 1990s, development ended in the area of the third phase, the area north of the first phase and northwest of the second phase.
• In 2006, the permit for excavation expired and the quarry was decommissioned
• In September 2014, a new permit was obtained to further excavate the quarry for a period of eight years. The company must complete the quarry in the following year.
