                          Slide Through the Wall – Adventure in the Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park

                          The Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park, a fascinating industrial monument and leisure park, features an unusual attraction: the "Slide Through the Wall." This spectacular slide was installed in 2010 as part of an art and cultural project and offers visitors a unique combination of fun, architecture, and industrial culture.

                          The slide leads directly through the massive concrete wall of a former industrial hall and connects two levels of the park. With a length of approximately 12 meters, sliders overcome a height difference of several meters on their way from the upper platform area down to the park grounds. The structure is not just a play device, but also an artistic statement symbolizing the connection between past and present.

                          The slide was designed by the artist duo Andreas Dettloff & Klaus Fritsche, who wanted to create a contrast between the heavy industrial architecture and playful lightness. The shiny surface and the elegant curve of the slide tube offer an exciting experience that is especially popular with families and young people.

                          The Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park itself is a former steelworks, now used as a park and cultural venue. In addition to the slide, visitors will find climbing gardens, impressive blast furnaces, walking paths, and numerous art installations.
