The former synagogue in St. Pölten was built in 1913 in the Art Nouveau style and is one of the most important Jewish religious buildings of the former monarchy. It was badly damaged during the November pogroms of 1938 and was later used for various purposes. After extensive renovations, it now serves as a cultural center. In addition to exhibitions and cultural events, guided tours are also held here, providing insights into its eventful history and impressive architecture.

The St. Pölten Synagogue was the main synagogue of the St. Pölten Israelite Community until the November pogroms of 1938. The synagogue, built in the Art Nouveau style between 1912 and 1913 by the architects Theodor Schreier and Viktor Postelberg, is located on the Dr. Karl Renner Promenade in St. Pölten and is now the seat of the Institute for Jewish History in Austria.
