The Engel beer factory has been around for a long time. From 1738 there are first records of the Crailsheim brewery "Zum goldenen Engel".
In the 19th century, the Fach family took over the fortunes of the brewery and is now running it in the fifth generation.
In the 1980s, the Engel beer factory was the first brewery in Germany to bottle Radler.
Equally revolutionary...in the 1990s, the brewery relied on screw caps instead of crown caps.
Since 2013, the brewery has been awarded the Federal Prize every year.
