The Kleen Meulen is a watermill in Lummen. It was built at the beginning of the 18th century, with the house with the oil mill to the left of the bridge and the grain mill to the right. The original buildings were restored in 2009. Milling takes place for a few hours every week (on Saturdays), which is fascinating to watch and to hear from the trained volunteer miller. As an avid hiker (with his wife), he told us he saw an advertisement one day, responded, and now mills and guides.

Description of the mill: "The Kleen Meulen is located on the Mangelbeek stream. It is the starting point of a 3 km signposted walk through the Lummensbroek. There is also a holiday home at the Kleen Meulen that you can rent for a stay in this beautiful area. The mill was built before 1715. In 1782, it was in urgent need of renovation, then still made of wood and clay. It was rebuilt in stone. Around 1875, the mill became an oil mill and a grain mill (for corn and buckwheat). In 1931, the oil mill on the left bank was dismantled and converted into a warehouse. The interior of the grain mill was preserved, but the waterwheel disappeared around 1967.
