The gently sloping water of the beaches is particularly inviting for children to swim. The beach in the village was redesigned years ago. Several tons of white sand were brought in and the surroundings were organized. A lawn and playground were also created. Many vacationers, especially those with children, like to use the beach. The water is shallow and safe. The nearby "Landmarkt" Knittel and the "Haffstübchen" can be reached quickly in 2 minutes. There is also a new beach kiosk that offers many things. The municipality has taken over the maintenance and care of the beach. The water quality is constantly checked and the results are published on the district's website. The water in the lagoon is not crystal clear. Due to the suspended matter caused by the reed belts, it is always a bit cloudy, but still clean.

There is a small natural bathing beach in the nearby settlement. Many vacationers, especially those who want peace and quiet, love this place. The autumn and spring storms constantly change the contours of the beach.
The beach can be reached from the settlement via a forest path in about 10 minutes. There is plenty of parking at the former boiler house, as the path leading to the beach is closed to vehicles, mostly because of the risk of forest fires in summer.

A narrow strip around 50 to 100 m wide along the edge of the forest is suitable for swimming. The sun does not reach the beach until around 10 a.m. If you are lucky, you will be rewarded with a wonderful sunset. When the wind is onshore or offshore, bathers are well protected by the forest.
