    The Ponale is a must for hikers and cyclists on Lake Garda. You hardly notice the difference in altitude, because the breathtaking scenery of Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains occupy the hiker too much. Don't forget the short branch up to the bunker! Unfortunately, everyone – hikers and cyclists alike – is on the trail at the same time, so I recommend running out of season or at a quieter time of day if possible.

                Historically beautiful old narrow, steadily ascending road that has been closed to traffic and is now used by hikers and mountain bikers alike. It's usually very busy, so take care of each other. Lots of great views of Lake Garda and the surrounding area along the route. Coarse gravel surface in the lower area, asphalt in the upper area.                                   Ponale offers the opportunity to refresh yourself and a snack. The terraces offer incredible views of the lake and a small waterfall. Either dwell and enjoy or continue up to the next hut. There the paths branch endlessly - there are so many hiking possibilities.
                                  P.S. on the 2nd hut, apparently the best is Panna Cotta. I did not try.
