    Marburg Castle can almost always be seen when approaching Marburg, whether from the south or from the north. The typical silhouette is unmistakable and makes Marburg unique. When the double towers of the Elisabeth Church appear under the castle, the impression is complete. The overall ensemble of the castle with the upper town and the monumental church in the Lahn valley is simply fantastic.

    The castle can be seen from different perspectives on the cycle path through Marburg. It is also impressive to look at the scenery from above, i.e. from the vantage point at the Kaiser Wilhelm Tower. There you are far above the Schlossberg and have the Lahntal and the Schlossberg as well as the Elisabethkirche in front of you. The vantage point can be reached relatively easily via the cycle path to the university hospital. However, if you want to see the castle for yourself, a decent climb is required, both on foot and by bike.

      As @Roland_Dahm suggests, the Marburg Castle can be seen in many places in the area. And many of them offer a much better view than the spot marked "Highlight" here.
      Otherwise, the tip from @Roland_Dahm mixes up the castle, the view from the Kaiser Wilhelm Tower and the spot marked here. Anyone who is familiar with the area does not need this information anyway. If you are not familiar with this, you will be more confused than informed. :-(
