The viewing point is called Gedeonseck.
After a short walk from the top station of the chairlift you reach Gedeonseck and the panoramic restaurant of the same name. From here you have a magnificent view of the large Rhine loop.
Great viewing point above Boppard. From here you have a beautiful view of the vineyards of the Bopparder Hamm and the large Rhine loop.

Actually, it was planned completely differently, but based on my experience, I would like to offer you the following tour tips

1) for the gravel or touring bike:

From April 2025, as Stolzenfels to Königsbach is closed

- Koblenz main station with the RE to Nassau (D-Ticket 0,- €)

- on the Lahn cycle path along the Lahn
- detour to the Ruppertsklamm possible

- on the Rhine to the Boppard ferry, cross over (3.30 €)

- in Boppard to the cable car 🚠 (round trip 11,- €) and

up to the Hirschkopf and to the Gedeon Eck viewpoint 🤩

- on the Rhine (EV15) to Koblenz to the Deutsches Eck

- on the Moselle (D5) to the Kurt Schumacher Bridge

- change sides and head back towards the Rhine

- to the Bendorfer Bridge A48 - change sides

the Rhine to the Ehrenbreitstein ferry terminal (3.50 €)

= 112km of fantastic scenery

2) for hiking
Take a look at the Mittelrheinsteig climbing trail. I didn't get to experience much of it, but I really liked the short section (from the corner down to the cable car) 🤩

Tip for a stop in Boppard:
Simple but really tasty dishes at a fair price - the Ritter Stübl. I had meat loaf with fried potatoes (both perfectly fried) and a cocoa (from the stove, mixed with milk).
