Duhallow A.D.S. Cemetery is a British military cemetery with a special name that is linked to graves that have disappeared due to artillery fire.

Brief history:
North of Ypres, during the war, was the "Duhallow Advanced Dressing Station" (A.D.S.), a medical post, where the wounded received the first care. The dead were also buried there. The cemetery was established in July 1917, during the Battle of Pilckem Ridge at the start of the Third Battle of Ypres.

After the war, the cemetery was expanded with 633 dead from the surrounding battlefields, including Brielen and Fusilier Wood Cemetery in Hollebeke. From these two cemeteries, 39 dead whose graves were destroyed by artillery fire are commemorated here. Their headstones are grouped around two Duhallow Blocks. These memorial stones are said to have been used for the first time in this cemetery and owe their name to it. Duhallow Blocks were later placed in other British cemeteries as well.

This cemetery commemorates 1,602 dead, of which 234 could not be identified.

A remarkable anecdote concerns 41 men of the 13th Company Labour Corps, who were killed on 9th January 1918 when a German bomber hit an ammunition truck. Their graves are in Plot II, Row F, and bear silent witness to the dangers faced by not only soldiers but also support troops during the war.
