A walk around the lake Ferring Sø leads through numerous landscape and nature types. On the west side you walk through the stormy dune landscape and always have the sound of the sea in your ears. Here you will also find wet meadows and large heath areas. On the east side, the marked route leads through the hilly Ice Age landscape with high escarpments that formed the coast during the Ice Age.
The area is home to many animals and plants that have adapted to the landscape, such as the sea thrift plant and a species of toad that lives on land, the natterjack toad.

practical information
The hiking route around the lake Ferring Sø is about 9 km long. A small part of the route leads through an animal enclosure. Don't frighten the animals - if their are left quiet they will do nothing. If it has rained a lot, the water level in the lake can be high. It is therefore sometimes advisable to wear waterproof shoes. Unfortunately, the water of Lake Ferring Sø is not so clean that you can swim in it.
