Langhammar's nature reserve is located on the Langhammar peninsula between the bays of Aursviken and Tällevika. It is home to around 50 free-standing limestone pillars, which the natural erosion of wind and waves has sculpted into bizarre rock formations over thousands of years. At this point, the rockets reach heights of eight to ten meters and are concentrated along a long pebble beach on the northern tip of the peninsula near Klajvika.

With a size of 479 hectares, Langhammar's nature reserve protects not only the rocket area but also the overall special landscape of the peninsula, which shows several different natural forms in a relatively limited space.
