The Lange-Grund is the name given to the side valley that begins below the Aschenberg (380 meters) and merges into the Seifersdorfer Grund at a railway bridge (built in 1910). In the upper part, the Alte Meißner Straße and a field path cross the Grund. It lies mostly in the Seifersdorf district.

near Dippoldiswalde.
In 2002, most of the valley was reforested,
having been a meadow valley until then.

The Langegrund stream of the Lange-Grund drains this area, except for the piped upper section, which has been converted into arable land.

At the confluence with the Rote Weißeritz, the foundations of a steel girder bridge, built in 1882, of the old Weißeritz Valley Railway line, existed until the Elbe floods of 2002.

In addition, the stream forms the district boundary between Seifersdorf and Spechtritz in a section.
