The Reyher Bridge over the Taube Elbe.

The pretty little concrete bridge over the Taube Elbe is a rare bridge construction, a fish belly bridge by Prof. Max Möller.

The bridge with a free span of 15 meters and a width of 10 meters was built in 1900 in a construction period of only about 6 weeks. The construction costs amounted to only 23,000 marks, which also included the costs for the stucco elements of the two support faces amounting to 500 marks.

After the bridge was closed for several years due to dilapidation, it was reconstructed true to the original in 1999 for DM 1.3 million. The stucco elements were molded from the original building, which could no longer be saved, and used for the new building. Only the wrought-iron bridge railing, which adorned the bridge from 1900 for 2,500 marks, has been preserved from the old bridge.
