In the middle of the vast landscape of the Oderbruch, where the land stretches out flat and open beneath the sky, it stands: the half-timbered church of Altbarnim. A small gem, almost too modest for a grand gesture – and yet so present that you involuntarily slow down.

Its black and white half-timbering, like something from an old picture book, its roof covered in red, its tower simple but upright – not a baroque spectacle, but quiet elegance. It seems like a house that knows how to tell stories, but doesn't pressure anyone to listen.
