Next to the bridge there is now an information pavilion with information about the old bridge and the construction work for the new bridge, and also with references to numerous suicides that have been committed from the bridge.

The bridge arches are a protected area within a larger protected area, as they have been designated as a Natura 2000 area to preserve bat colonies, and the bridge as a whole is located in the "Ammerschlucht an der Echelsbacher Brücke" nature reserve
