Langwieder Seenplatte is a collective name for several lakes in the west of Munich, in the Aubing-Lochhausen-Langwied district. The 120-hectare Langwieder Seenplatte recreation area was opened in August 2000. The lake district includes the Langwieder See, the Lußsee, which was newly created at the end of the 1990s, and the Birkensee.

Very nice recreation area with many parking lots. Nevertheless, it can be very narrow in the summer by car, since the 3 lakes are now very well known and therefore overcrowded. Best come by bike and chill out.

The Lußsee has both a pebble and a natural beach.
There is a stand on the pebble beach where you can buy ice cream, drinks or food (chips, currywurst, etc.). The stand operator has also set up a few tables and chairs where you can sit down. There are only benches on the pebble beach. On the natural side there are playgrounds for children and a beach volleyball court.
The Birkensee on the Eschenrieder Spange is recommended for nudist fans, as you will find many like-minded people there.
